Sail Manitoba is putting on a Race Training Day for the Opti fleet! This will be about 8 hours of instruction taught by our Sail Manitoba Provincial Coach, Claire Holliday! Registering for the training day automatically registers the participant for the Sunday Regatta.

For races, there will be the Opti fleet for the kids, an Open Dinghy class, and a keelboat class.

Pinawa Sailing Club members will have first dibs on club dinghies for racing in the regatta. There are a limited number so email the Commodore if you or your kid want to use one for the race. Sailors can, and are recommended to use their own boats if they have one.

If you registered for SailMB/Sail Canada on your PSRC membership form and haven’t received your number yet, enter TBD when prompted for the number.

Birthday Weekend is the town of Pinawa’s signature Summer event. There are many activities to partake in such as a Friday evening social, a Show-and-Shine for vintage cars, a town parade, family beach activities, music, and a Saturday night firework display. Accommodations are available in Pinawa, at the Pinawa Motel, Wilderness Edge Conference Centre, Pinawa Unplugged Eco-tours, and Relax Ridge campground. Fun for the whole family!

This event will also be the first of the Manitoba Optimist Traveller Series events! Optimist sailors can learn to race in clubs across the province with coaching from the Provincial Optimist Coach, Claire Holliday.
